Nadine Vanniasinkam is a researcher at the International Centre for Ethnic Studies Sri Lanka. She has a Masters in Applied Linguistics from the University of Melbourne, Australia and a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Her research interests include inter-religious relations and conflict, nationalism and minority identity politics with gender as a crosscutting focus. Nadine is currently coordinating a project that uses the arts to promote reconciliation and is conducting research on the music and song traditions of Sri Lanka’s ethnic minorities.
