Aditi Haté is the Core Government Functions and Recovery Policy Specialist at the United Nations Development Programme in New York.
She has worked in development assistance for more than eight years, specialising in public sector governance reform, statebuilding and fragility diagnostics, and political economy analysis in a wide range of contexts, including Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Libya, Somalia, South Sudan, the Solomon Islands, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea and Yemen.
Aditi primarily supports governments recovering from violent conflict. Her focus is the diagnosis, formulation and implementation of institutional recovery reforms, both in the immediate aftermath of conflict and in longer-term recovery. She has worked with the World Bank, the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, UNDP Afghanistan, and the National Democratic Institute. She holds an MSc in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, Washington DC.
