Paul Robert Gilbert is a Research Associate at the University of Sussex, and teaches anthropology and development studies at Brunel University and the University of Birmingham. His doctoral research in Bangladesh, the UK and Papua New Guinea explored how the search for new financial opportunities shapes development outcomes.
