Grace Zimateko Rohoana is currently a fulltime Lecturer at the Solomon Islands National University, School of Education and Humanities, and has recently appointed Head of TVET Department. Grace holds a bachelor in Education with major in Food and Textiles and a Master’s Degree in Education obtained at the University of the South Pacific.
Prior to joining the Solomon Islands National University (formerly SICHE), Grace has served under the Solomon Islands Teaching Service Commission for 16 years, Public Service Commission for 4 years and at the Technical Vocational Education for 1 year. Apart from full time works, Grace has worked with the Institute of Education (USP) to do the Postgraduate Certificate in School Leadership training for school leaders in Solomon Islands in 2017 and 2018.
Grace is an aspiring researcher and has some experiences in presenting conference papers – at the Vaka Pacific Education conference held in Solomon Islands in 2016, Pacific Islands University Research Networking (PIURN) conference held in Tahiti in 2018 and the most recent is the Pacific Leadership Conference held in Solomon Islands in 2019.
Grace is a goal oriented person and loves working with people. Grace has two children and comes from a Christian family, her father being a retired Wesleyan United Church (Methodist) Pastor.
