Graham has been teaching economics, business studies and education in Solomon Islands in the secondary and tertiary level since 2003. He graduated from the University of the South Pacific (USP) in 2000 with a degree in economics, and management and public administration. Graham completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Education from USP in 2014. Apart from teaching, he is the Teaching Experience Coordinator at the Solomon Islands College of Higher Education (now SINU) since 2007. He enjoyed performing this role as it provided an opportunity to constantly liaise with school leaders and teachers around the country, and experience their school management challenges and successes. Graham has also done some consultancy work for the University of the Pacific, Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development (Solomon Islands), and UNESCO.
